Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Cranora is a fully offline Chinese–English dictionary. The short version of this policy: we do not collect, store, or share any personal data — because the app never sends any.
What the app collects
Nothing. Cranora contains:
- No user accounts or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking SDKs
- No advertising SDKs
- No network requests during normal use — the entire dictionary is bundled with the app
Data stored on your device
Your starred words, word collections, and display preferences are stored locally on your device only. They never leave it, except as part of your device's own system backup (e.g. iCloud or Android backup), which is controlled by you and your device settings — not by us.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data. There is nothing to delete on our side, because nothing is ever sent to us.
Future features
If a future version of Cranora adds optional online features (such as downloadable content or cross-device sync), they will be opt-in, this policy will be updated before they ship, and the in-app version will clearly state what changes.
Children's privacy
Cranora does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
