Cranora is designed to perform most dictionary work on your device. Some features use our online service, so this policy describes both local and server-side processing instead of claiming that every lookup is offline.

Data processed on your device端末上で処理・保存されるデータ

The bundled dictionary, downloaded dictionary and audio packs, recent searches, display preferences, and a local copy of your starred-word collections are stored on your device. Normal searches use the local dictionary first. Device backups may include some app data according to your operating-system and backup settings.

Online dictionary requestsオンライン辞書リクエスト

If a local search or entry lookup cannot be satisfied and a connection is available, the app may send the search text or entry identifier to api.cranora.com. Our web server receives the request IP address, timestamp, path, response status, and technical request metadata. Search text included in a URL can appear in short-lived operational logs. We use this information to return results, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures; not for advertising or user profiling.

Guest useゲスト利用

An account is optional. When guest synchronization runs, the app may send randomly generated guest and device identifiers plus aggregate lookup and bookmark counts. This lets us maintain guest state and understand service load without requiring an email address. These identifiers are not intended to reveal your real-world identity, but they are still online identifiers.

Premium is an optional in-app purchase. Apple or Google processes the payment and does not give us your full payment-card details. RevenueCat helps us verify purchase and entitlement status. We receive identifiers and purchase/entitlement events needed to unlock Premium, prevent replay, and provide support. The store's and RevenueCat's own privacy terms also apply.

Service providers and locations委託先と処理地域

The primary Cranora API and account database are hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Hong Kong region. Cloudflare provides DNS, website/CDN, and security services and may process network metadata at its global edge. Resend is used for account verification and security email, RevenueCat for purchase entitlement processing, and Apple/Google for store payments. Support email may pass through Cloudflare Email Routing and the recipient's mail provider. These providers process data under their own terms and our service arrangements.

Retention and deletion保存期間と削除

We keep account and synchronization data while your account is active. Verification codes and operational/security logs are retained only for their security, delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse-prevention purpose, then rotated or deleted. Purchase-event identifiers and administrative audit records may be retained longer where needed to prevent fraud, investigate abuse, or meet legal obligations.

Using Delete Account removes the account and associated live sync/device data from the active database. Residual copies can remain temporarily in access-controlled disaster-recovery backups until those backups expire under the backup rotation schedule. Backups are not used to restore a deleted account. Some minimal security, purchase, or legal records may be retained where necessary. You may also ask support for access or deletion help.

Cranora currently contains no advertising SDK and no third-party product analytics tracker. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose limited information to the service providers above, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service from abuse.
